- FoodSafety.gov’s Turkey page provides information about safely thawing, stuffing, and cooking your turkey.
- FoodSafety.gov’s Holidays page has articles to teach you how to create safe buffets and party platters for Thanksgiving.
- University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Thanksgiving Food Preparation Tips blog post contains lots of helpful cooking information/
- Butterball’s How To site has helpful videos and charts to walk you through every step of the turkey roasting process.
In addition, you can call the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline at 1-888-674-6854 from 8am to 2pm on Thanksgiving Day if you have any questions about cooking your turkey safely.
As you prepare for Thanksgiving, download these free printable cards. Print them off, and then attach each card to your guests’ containers full of yummy leftovers. Now your guests will remember to keep their leftovers safe from foodborne disease.
