Learning Objectives for Food Safety Scores

Students will learn restaurant food safety scores are given to restaurants by trained government inspectors.

Students will learn food safety scores reflect how well the restaurant is meeting food safety standards.

Students will learn restaurants that earn below the equivalent of an “A” are more likely to serve food which makes their customers ill.

Students will learn where to look for a restaurant’s food safety score.

Students will be encouraged to no longer dine at restaurants that don’t have an “A” rating.

Students will learn about economic consumer pressure on businesses.

Students will learn how to respectfully pressure restaurants to improve their food safety scores.
